The most popular forecast jailbreak tweak by iOS developer David Ashman has been updated recently to support iOS 7 and 64 bit devices.
The jailbreak tweak, called forecast, displays the weather information right on your lockscreen with an animated background that shows the live weather conditions. This means that if the weather is rainy, you’ll see showers of rain falling down the screen as well as on your homescreen. On the other hand, you’ll see clouds when the weather is sunny.
The lockscreen also includes the weather’s detail, the current temperature, high and low temperature of the day. Swiping the lockscreen to the left will display the weather forecast for the week just like what is displayed in the stock weather app. Check out the tweak in our video below.
The tweak has been completely re-coded from the ground up to fully support iOS 7. Once you install the tweak, you’ll get a range of configurations to make via the stock Settings app. You can enable the “show current weather” option which will show your current location weather or you can choose the first weather location in the stock weather app to be displayed on the lockscreen. You can also darken the text so that it looks much better on a light background.
You can enable or disable the forecast page which, as mentioned earlier, can be accessed by swiping the lockscreen to the left. Similarly, you can darken the text for the forecast page as well.
In addition, you can also choose whether you want the wallpaper to appear on the lockscreen or homescreen and if you want it to be animated.
Forecast for iOS 7 is a free update for anyone who already owns the tweak, but if you don’t own it, you can get it from Cydia via ModMyi repo for just $0.99.
