A new jailbreak tweak called QuickContacts has been released by popular developer Joshua Lee Tucker. You may have guessed by now what the purpose of the tweak is by its name.
QuickContacts allows you to quickly contact someone from your address book from the homescreen. QuickContacts replaces the spotlight search (not completely) with your favorite contacts. After installing the tweak, swipe down your device home screen and you’ll find 4 thumbnails. This is where you can add your favorite contacts. By holding on a thumbnail, you can add your contacts directly from your address book. Up to 8 contacts can be added, 4 of which appears when you slide down the homescreen and the remaining 4 can be accessed by swiping QuickContacts to the left. Swiping it to the right reveals the spotlight search so you don’t have to worry about losing the spotlight search page when using this tweak. Take a look at our video below to find out how QuickContacts works.
Once again this is a brilliant tweak developed by Joshua that allows you to quickly call, iMessage and SMS or even email your favorite contacts added to QuickContacts. Overall, it offers quite a simple and neat interface and works perfectly on all devices except that it has a bug where iPhone 5s users are limited to only 4 contacts. However Joshua has already submitted a fix for this bug and the update should be available in Cydia anytime soon.
QuickContacts is available in Cydia for $1.99 via BigBoss repo and works on all devices running iOS 7 and later.
