Are you wanting reminded when you need Cydia updates? AptDate is a cydia tweak which gives banner notifications when you need to update a cydia tweak installed on your device. Aptdate can be set to check for updates automatically as set by the user in increments of five hours.
A few weeks ago we did a review on Curiousaa which does the same thing. It too is a free tweak so if you are interested in learning more about it click here. Check out both tweaks and see which one you prefer. Both are free but Curiousa will require you add a new repo which isn’t a big deal.
Aptdate shouldn’t be a battery killer since it only checks a minimum of every five hours. please keep in mind this tweak will only send you a banner notification stating which tweak package needs updating but doesn’t update them for you. After you receive the banner telling you it needs updating then you need to update the tweak which you received the banner about.
