iOS devices are dubbed as smartphone that has the best camera installed and the best way to take picture is through the stock camera application. However, the stock camera lacks many features which prohibits photographer to use there iDevice as a main tool of photography. The basic features that exist within the stock camera suffice the beginner nonetheless. Due to its accessibility and integration in the iOS, many users prefer to use the stock camera rather than the third-party camera app that have additional features installed in it.
If you really enjoy using the stock camera, this tweak is for you. The best part of this tweak is that it integrates new features into the stock camera app itself. That means, after you install this tweak you will be seeing additional features added to the stock camera app. CameraTweak 2 has been recreated to match the iOS7 and its ARM64 devices.
Once installed, open your stock camera. To view the additional features installed by the tweak, simply swipe up from the shutter button and the bubbles will reveal themselves. These addition features include: Advance Mode (separates the exposure from focus), time lapse, timer (a feature iOS 7 camera lacked ) and white balance. Activating the advance mode allows you separate the exposure orb from the focus box. An additional features added to the camera and is very interesting is that you can choose the resolution of the picture you want to shoot. To set the resolution, click the button that is located on the right side of Shutter button. The resolution ranges from 144p to 2448p.
This tweak not only offers new features for camera but also for the video. Switch to video mode and swipe up to view the features. You can choose to separate the exposure from focus, white balance option, can select the frame rates to shoot the video, select the resolution and can take snapshots while recording the video.
This tweak also adds a preference pane in the settings menu. You can enable or disable the advance mode for both camera and video on start-up from the preference pane and choose whether to remember or forget the settings you have made in the stock camera.
Those who are new to this tweak and want to install it for the first time, it is available on Cydia for a mere $1.49. Those who already own the original version of this tweak and want to install the upgrade so it can support iOS 7, it is available for $0.99.
