Guestmode is a new tweak that can be sometimes used interchangeably with applock application. Guestmode allows you to restrict access to the apps you will list in the settings. This will allow your kids to play game on phone without accidentally calling someone and allow your friends and colleagues to use your phone to listen to music or use it for other purpose without lurking to camera roll, mails, facebook and other sensitive information sharing applications.
Once the tweak is installed, the preference pane is added to the Settings Menu. In the preference pane, you can enable or disable the tweak, assign an activator gesture to activate the Guestmode from anywhere rather than activating it from the lockscreen, enable a guestmode button on lock screen, restricting camera access from lockscreen, selecting various options for notification and control center, and selecting apps that will be restricted during the guest mode. You can also set a password for guestmode .
Guestmode is made specifically based on the restrictions you set for each apps. Apps that are restricted and blocked are dimmed in the home screen while notification and control center are not accessible at all.
There are some minor issues where after unlocking your device some of the apps icon remain dim, a respring will solve this problem. The tweak is available on Cydia for $0.99. Give it a try.
