The jailbreak was a welcomed event for us. However, the new iOS 7 jailbreak didn’t bring a new Cydia from the beginning. Saurik stated he wasn’t given a heads up or any time prior to release for any kind of updates. We have since received a somewhat newer look to Cydia UI but the icon is still the same.
Here we walk you through each step to change the icon. This isn’t very difficult at all and will only take a few minutes. Follow along with the video below and by the end you will have a new Cydia icon on your springboard.
Things you will need before starting the video.
1. iFile – trial version is fine.
2. Cydia replacement icon-This can be found on Google images or Reddit. Try the Reddit link here to choose a new Cydia icons.
This may also be done by connecting idevice to computer and using i-Funbox.
Use my icon if you wish. Just hold your finger over it until the save options pops up on idevice.
