iTunes 12.1 update adds a cool widget on the side for both Windows and Mac users. Apple released iTunes 12 last year in October along with Yosemite OS X. This new update is the first update to the new iTunes 12 and brings a brand new Notification Center Widget for Yosemite Mac Users.
This new Widget for the Notification Center in iTunes 12.1 can be accessed through the NC in Yosemite. The widget is similar to the media controls that can be found in the iOS Control Center. Users will be able to change songs, play/pause, and view track info.
The Mac update will be available for download from the Mac App store also. Windows users will need to check the help>check section to get the update for 12.1. However, the new media widget is only available for Mac users.
