Jailbreaking has become more popular with the release of all the newest iOS gadgets. The jailbreak community grows more with each new release. Cydia has been the primary place for getting tweaks and updates. They are the primary storage for sources such as Modmyi, BigBoss Repo, and many more. Cydia has the jailbreak monopolized in a sense. The Cydia store is the largest and only place for jailbreakers to turn for new tweaks and updates. Jailbreaking began in 2007 and was illegal when it first launched so maybe this deterred many other competitors from getting in the race.
Well, I’m here to let you know there is a new contender in town. The contender is www.iTweakstore.com. Until now Cydia hasn’t needed to worry about any competition. The iTweakstore has a preview posted on their site showing what the new store will be like. From what I read and see its gonna be great. The Cydia store is so unorganized it gets frustrating trying to find things. I don’t understand why Jay hasn’t taken the initiative to update and organize his business. Thats what it is a business and he’s slowly letting it slip away by assuming he has no competition. Well you’ve heard the saying about, assuming. It makes an :”ass out of you and me”. A year or so ago Jay and a co-worker released a video showing some new things but never really came to pass.
The iTweakstore has stated it will be more user friendly, faster, and yes, organized. We all want organization don’t we. I have a source which I can’t reveal that has informed us here at www.iphonecaptain.com that itweakstore is on schedule and will be releasing in 2012.
