#PlayMe is a very simple and decent tweak. It is very easy to use and doesn’t require any configuration. This tweak display the music related information on your status bar. The hashtag (#) reminds me of twitter and its a nice name for a hashtag when you are listening to your favorite music and want to tweet it.
As it is visible in the picture above, the song is being played and the song title is displayed then it changes to display the song’s author and last changes back to time/date display.
#PlayMe supports number of applications that plays music:
- YouTube (both the web and app)
- Deezer
- Spotify
- Safari,Chrome…
- Music app
- and other 3rd party music app
However those who have installed and are using “Beat” music application rather than the stock music application, #PlayMe doesn’t support this application despite the claim that it supports other 3rd party music application. It might be a bug or glitch and hopefully the developer might be able to solve this issue. Other than that it works like a charm charm with other applications as listed above.
#PlayMe is a very simple tweak as it has already been mentioned before and adds a bit of content to your status bar rather than a boring stable time/date display. If you want to give it a try, it is available on Cydia for free. It supports devices running on iOS 7.
