Reviewing the iPhone 5 from A to Z (556 words)
So the iPhone 5 came out, not much to the surprise of many people as Apple comes out with models almost bi-yearly. In fact, ever since the iPhone 3, there have been at least two iterations of each phone, so you can expect that the iPhone 5 will get that little “s” added later on. Of course, Apple actually makes a bit of an effort each time they make a product, and some of the features in the new phone might actually convince you to pick this phone. Construction and Aesthetics of the Phone
Apple’s never been known to deviate from their designs, and their phone product line shows that off. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either, as the iPhone’s always looked great. The latest in the phone like takes the same look as the previous one with rounded corners and simple colors. You can get the phone in both black and white, both with different makes. Buttons are located on either side of the phone, making it easier to turn off the phone, or alter the volume levels. It’s also very solidly built, often withstanding a significant amount of punishment, being able to survive drops with relatively no damage. For a preview of this, just check out the many many demonstrations that features abuse on this phone. There’s even one where they shoot the iPhone 5, or use other “interesting” techniques to test the iPhone’s durability. Truth be told that the iPhone 5 is a pretty rocky piece of software, as Apps Pirate said the iPhone 5 is bulletproof on its review, and it is not far from the truth!
The Nano Sim and the Internet Features
If you thought the micro sim was small in the older versions of the phone, the Nano-sim tops that. The problem with this is because it seems like Apple doesn’t want you to change your number ever again. If you have no plans of doing so, then consider this the means by which they make your phone much easier to handle. Wi-Fi capability has also been enhanced to provide support for both 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz hotspots, which makes a bit more versatile in terms of connections.
Ports and Connections
Okay, so you have your old accessories from your iPhone and your eager to transfer them all to your iPhone 5. However, you find that your new phone doesn’t support this stuff anymore, and now you have to buy new gear. This is the problem with the new iteration in Apple’s phone line, as instead of you using the classic 30 pin connector the new phone has opted to use the 8-pin lightning wire. Of course, you can purchase some adapters from a lot of your old accessories, but it costs a little over $30.

The iOS 6
A smart phone is no smart phone without a great OS. While the iOS 6 map app has been taunted to death because of the horrible mapping, the rest of the features can be impressive. For socialites, the Passbook feature on the phone allows you to check out new events and even purchase tickets if the fancy strikes you. Integration between all your social networking accounts is pretty good too, and the newest OS irons out a ton of the bugs, and new updates will eventually iron out Apple Maps. So, there you have it, all the iPhone 5 Specs that you might want to know about.
