Stop Unwanted Replies and iMessages being Read While you are away
iMessage offers users many convenient features for sending and replying to messages. However, one of these features called quick reply, could result in messages being sent that weren’t from the correct sender. You may be asking what do I mean? Well take this example, say you are in the rest room and received a message. One of your “friends” decides to be funny and read the message on your lockscreen from someone the message was not intended for. However, they decide to take the joke a bit further and reply to the message. Now the person receiving the reply thinks these are your words. They could be nothing but a joke in bad taste or they could be very damaging if they wanted to be. This is the type of unwanted quick reply we are referring to now.
There is a fast and easy way to fix this inside settings. Just follow the guide below to prevent messages from being replied to from the lockscreen and require the iOS device to be unlocked before replying.
Follow these simple steps below to disable quick reply on lockscreen for Messages app.
