Some jailbreak tweaks are developed to enhance some functionality’s of iOS while other tweaks involve beautifying your iOS device. A new jailbreak tweak recently released in Cydia manages to improve the functionality of your device by making use of the proximity sensor.
Face Off is a new jailbreak tweak developed by Elijah Frederickson that puts your device automatically into sleep mode or switches on/off various toggles. This means that you can toggle the settings such that your iOS device will enter sleep mode when it is facing down towards a flat surface or have the device shut off automatically every time the proximity sensor is covered.
This tweak is particularly useful when you put your device into your pocket or take it out of your pocket. For example, you can tweak the settings such that your iOS device will be locked when placed into your pocket or on the other hand turn on your device when you take it out of your pocket. In addition, you can have FaceOff 7 disabled when connected to AC power or during a call. Take a look at how the tweak works in our demonstration video below.
There are loads of configurations you can mess around with via Settings when you install FaceOff 7. If you want your device to enter sleep mode automatically when your away or have various toggles switched on or off, you must try FaceOff 7. However we can’t guarantee that it will have no effect on your battery usage.
This tweak is available in Cydia via BigBoss repo for $0.99 and is worth it considering the features that it provides. It works on all iPhone, iPad and iPod running iOS 7 and later.
