The 140 character limit of twitter tweets is annoying because sometimes 140 characters can be too short . But don’t worry because a jailbreak tweak has been released recently to remove this limitation impose by Twitter.
Infinite Tweet 2 is a new jailbreak tweak released in Cydia that allows you to tweet more than 140 characters and get rid of the character limit imposed by Twitter . The tweak integrates with TwitLonger which is a service that allows you to tweet more than 140 characters . No necessary settings are needed once you install the tweak , you can just go to twitter and type in your phrase without any character restrictions . More interestingly , it also works with 3rd Party twitter apps such as Tweetbot and Tweetbot 3 along with the official twitter application .
When you start typing a tweet and the length exceeds over 140 character , you’ll still see a negative red number indicating the number of characters that exceed 140 . However if you tap the ‘Tweet’ button , you’ll be presented with 2 options namely “Cut 140” and “TwitLonger” . If you choose “Cut 140” , your tweet will cut down to 140 characters and all characters over 140 are erased . However if you choose “TwitLonger” then it will make use of TwitLonger service to post your 140 characters to twitter and the additional characters will be linked to TwitLonger .
