How To Yalu Jailbreak iOS 10.2 Tutorial
We have waited months for it but it has finally arrived. The iOS 10.2 Jailbreak released from the Italian developer, Luca Todesco himself today January 26, 2017. He posted a bit of code last night on GitHub and was giving us what must have been a hint at what was coming today because sure enough its here. Enough rambling and on with the tutorial. Luca is calling this Yalu beta 1 release for the public as opposed to a Gamma release. Either way it’s here and we love him for it. However, the list of supported devices is pretty small but he has stated more would be added in the coming weekends.
Special note: This Jailbreak is Semi-Tethered which means each time your device is powered off or runs out of battery charge you will have to complete the last step of the jailbreak again. That only means you will have to tap the Yalu102 icon and run the jailbreak again to add Cydia. Yes, you will lose any tweaks that are installed but you can download them again fairly easy. This does not mean you have to buy them again. Any tweaks purchases can be downloaded indefinitely inside the Cydia purchased section.

Although this is considered still in beta I feel it’s safe enough or Todesco would not have released it as public beta1. Especially after all the criticism he received last time from people like Saurik, owner of Cydia. He made comments about it being a “waste” to have burn an exploit on a beta release. How To Jailbreak iOS 10.2 using Yalu Jailbreak Tool and Mach-Portal
Things you will need before starting Yalu Jailbreak iOS 10.2
One of the first things you will want after jailbreaking is to add new sources. Be sure to check our latest post on Top Cydia Sources/Repo’s 2017. It even includes a video which shows step by step how to add the sources should you need help.
Download the proper items before starting the jailbreak
- ipa _Cydia_impactor Download link. Mirror link
- Download Cydia Impactor from cydiaimpactor.com or click here
- You will also need a working Apple ID
- Make sure iTunes is up to date
- Computer running Windows or Mac
Prepare your iOS 10.2 Device
- Connect supported device using USB cable
- Backup Device in iTunes
- Disable Passcodes now
Step by step instructions for How To Perform Yalu Jailbreak iOS 10.2
- Disable FindMyiPhone go to settings>iCloud> Find My iPhone toggle off
- Launch Cydia Impactor
- Drag and Drop the Yalu102 ipa file on top of Cydia Impactor popup
- Enter the Apple ID and password
- Once you enter the Apple ID Password wait for Cydia Impactor to run
- You will now have a new iCon on your home screen
- You will need to trust the new profile added under settings>general>device management
- This type of jailbreak is referred to as sideloading. It’s how many hacks are done without jailbreaking and 100% safe so don’t worry about that.
Once you have completed the steps above you will need to tap the Yalu icon and let it Jailbreak your iOS 10.2 device. The device will reboot and once it comes back up you should have a Cydia icon on your iOS device if the jailbreak was successful.
