iOS 7 activation lock

iOS 7 activation lock bypass

Hackers have reportedly managed to bypass Apple’s iCloud activation lock which allows users to restore iDevices without authentication. This has been an issue since iOS 7 released. Apple thought this would deter thefts from being able to use stolen phones and such. However, it turns out several owners have forgotten passwords or have kids who have set up the idevice then forget the password.

The ‘tool’ used for bypassing iCloud activation is called doulCi. It was created by two developers named @AquaXetine and @MerrukTechnolog.
They describe it as follows:

doulCi is the worlds first Alternative iCloud Server, and the world’s first iCloud Activation Bypass. doulCi will bypass and activate you iDevice for you when you are stuck at the Apple activation menu. For example, if you have forgotten your Apple ID and password or no longer have access to your old itunes-email account then its impossible to regain control of your Apple Product!! doulCi is the solution that will enable you to can regain permenant access.

To use doulCi you must add a line to your hosts file that directs your computer to look to their server instead of Apple’s activation server. If the device is your own and not a stolen one, this may compromise your information.

Surenix shared description of the new tweak on Dribble.

ActiveBoard delivers new pulsing lights and fluid animation style to your home screen icons. Red pulsing lights will notify you when there are unread/missed notifications (so feel free to turn off those pesky Badge App Icon) and white pulsing lights to indicate which applications are truly running in the background. We aimed to design alongside iOS 7 to give users a better solution, but still as native as ever, to quickly see unread/missed notifications or which applications are truly running in the background (without accessing the app switcher).
