yosemite screen recording
Yosemite and iOS 8 bring some pretty powerful features to the table.  However, one of my all time favorites is the ability to record the iOS 8 screen in real time directly on your device.  It’s really a very simple task now to record the screen of an iOS 8 device for making tutorials or recording gameplay.  Just follow the simple steps below

How to Record iOS 8 Screen using Yosemite

1.  You must be running iOS 8 or later and Yosemite

2.  Plug iOS 8 device into Yosemite Mac using usb cable

3.  Open up Quicktime and choose “New Movie Recording” from the drop down under file

4.  When Quicktime begins choose the name of your device from the drop down beside the record button.

5.  You will need to choose the mic on the iOS device if you wish to record sound too

6.  Make your recording then go to top and choose save under file

7.  Edit if you desire in iMovie or something.

8.  Share and Enjoy.  It’s that easy.

We hope you found this tutorial helpful.  Please take a moment to leave a comment below and share this with all your social media.  Watch the video below for step by step instructions.
